Since the time being wouldn't allow us to do further research with the patients we wanted to design for; after getting feedback from Yeseul, Daniel, Marianne, and Yonathan, we decided to change our initial idea and work with an alternate version of the Medic Alert Bracelet.

The counseling we received raised the following questions: How can we create an object that raises awareness? How can users have the opportunity to personalize their devices? And how could this device not target patients by looking too medical? Our supersonic glove combines gamification and practical functions to ask for help and sends instant messages to caregivers.

The “Throw It” object:

Apart from the bracelet, we wanted to have an object that the user could throw and that would play a loud sound to ask for help. They would have an attachable cable connecting the object to the bracelet, allowing them to throw the object multiple times. We gave up on this idea because we needed help to figure out an input. We need help finding an input that would only act with impact and that one that wouldn't be sensible while it's been thrown.
